Welcome
to the Windsor Aquatic Club's
web site. There are no limits to the fun and personal satisfaction
you can experience in competitive swimming. You'll challenge yourself,
stay in shape, and have a lot of fun, too! If you're 5 years or
older, the Windsor Aquatic Club has a program in which you can learn
competitive swim strokes at your own pace and, when you're ready,
you can experience the thrills and challenges of participating in
local, regional, national and international swim meets.
Mission
Statement. Together
we as swimmers, parents and the coaching team will be the premier,
competitive swim team in Windsor and Essex County. We remain true
to our values of being Competitive, Committed and Compassionate
for all of our swim programs.
The
Windsor Aquatic Club was established in Windsor, Ontario,
Canada in 1970. It is a family-based, volunteer organization that
trains swimmers at two pools within the City of Windsor. As the
club is a non-profit organization that is entirely self-funded and
operated by it's members, parents are strongly encouraged to get
involved. It requires a certain amount of commitment, but it's
a fun and fulfilling way to spend time with your family. Swimming
is also the safest sport available to get one's exercise. Give it
a try! Our club motto is: Committed, Compassionate, Competitive!

Becoming a Member is Easy
Although the club is primarily geared to competitive swimming,
anyone can join, regardless of ability. Swimmers With A Disability
(SWAD) are welcomed and treated as one of the team. Through fundraising,
membership fees are also more reasonable, and you can test the waters
by taking advantage of our no-obligation Two Week Free Trial program,
offered all swim-season long! Learn More...
Note. Swim
assessments are at the
Adie Knox pool. Our trained
coaches will ask your child to swim for about 10 minutes to be
sure they are placed in the correct group for their ability.
The Right Start For Novices
WAC
offers a special I Can Swim program for novices
where young swimmers can learn to swim and are introduced
to competitive
swimming techniques. It's
the best possible way to learn competitive swimming, right
from the start. For more information on membership and all
club programs,
call the WAC office at 519-971-7479.
